Responsible for the management and coordination of the Tactical procurement of materials, components, supplies, services, etc. essential to support production operations. Ensures that the Tactical Procurement Team is meeting or exceeding key performance metrics as defined by TLD Leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manages the day-to-day tactical procurement team with regards to Placing Purchase Orders on Time, Managing Supplier On Time Delivery, MRP Exception Messages, Shortages, Supplier Returns, Inventory Reduction activities and other requirements that support production builds and the goals of the business.

* As Needed, supports placing of purchase orders, receiving issues and other tactical procurement activities.

* Develops Tactical procurement team skill sets to improve overall team performance.

* Tracks KPI performance and reports to leadership team as required.

* Evaluates team performance and provides necessary support and direction to ensure KPI's are met.

* Reviews Purchasing processes and looks for ways within company guidelines to increase efficiency. Supports and Generates Continuous Improvement Activities for procurement area.

* Actively participates in Gemba or other lean initiatives.

* Supports internal customers such as Engineering, Facilities and Quality.

* Other Duties as required by Materials and Logistics Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Proven ability to lead developing teams.

* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

* Continuous Improvement or Lean background.

* Metric Driven Leadership.

* Strong Coaching skills.

* Extensive MRP background

* At least 5 to 7 years in manufacturing industry as a leader.

* Excellent problem solving skills.

* Presentation skills.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

* Computer skills: extensive MRP system experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Full time on site position

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* APICS certification a plus.
