Job Description

Adesta, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Network Engineer - Telecom. The Network Engineer is responsible for support of our installation team to include the integration / interface of multiple disparate software applications and hardware into fully functioning solutions. This position will be responsible for all levels of systems head-end commissioning, upgrades, and advanced diagnostics to achieve the defined functionality of systems operation. The Network Engineer performs customized integration between software applications.

Pay Range: $60,000/yr-$90,000/yr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform advanced integration between disparate electronic security systems
  • Perform LAN and Network configuration protocols to include wireless communications system
  • Perform systems diagnostic and troubleshooting duties to ensure a fully functioning system (for both hardware and software)
  • Collaborate with project managers, end users, and technician team to provide assistance with network systems and determine functional specifications
  • Troubleshoot project issues, engage appropriate resources as needed for resolution and escalate significant impact issues to management team as needed
  • Perform installation of networking equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in network administration
  • In depth knowledge of industry leading security system and equipment providers
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to read and understand advanced technical information/documentation
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Word)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
  • Possess excellent follow-up skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Certification with major enterprise level security/access control systems preferred
  • Cisco software/hardware platforms (CCNA, CCNP)
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and/or certification
