Position Overview

As a Hunter Account Executive, you will focus on generating new business for Teaching Strategies by selling our full suite of products and services to the early childhood market. In this role, you will drive the entire sales process for new accounts within your designated territory. Your primary responsibility is to target net new opportunities and expand our market presence. This position requires a proactive, hunter mentality to uncover new leads, create strong relationships, and close new business.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:



  • Act as a subject matter expert on Teaching Strategies' products and services, staying up-to-date on the competitive landscape in early childhood development.
  • Drive net new sales and meet or exceed revenue targets within your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify leads, and conduct prospecting efforts to expand the customer base.
  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle-from lead generation to closing the deal-by effectively managing opportunities and negotiations.
  • Participate in campaigns and marketing programs designed to uncover new business opportunities and expand territory presence.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of potential customers through strategic and creative prospecting.
  • Use Salesforce to track, manage, and report on all sales activities, opportunities, and progress within your assigned territory.
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers to identify their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with leadership and internal teams to align on strategy and share feedback from prospects and clients.
  • Effectively manage time and resources for territory coverage, including travel when needed.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with leads and prospects to drive sales progress and document all interactions within Salesforce.


Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years of proven experience in a sales role, specifically focused on new business acquisition; experience in education or technology sales is a plus.
  • A track record of successfully prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a high-volume sales territory.
  • Expertise in cold calling, consultative selling, and negotiating to close deals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
