How You'll Perform the Role
Compliance/Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all documentation and administration of compliance regulations for quality and compliance. The Supervisor will be the source of communication for audits; will create, monitor, and maintain SQF documentation, and oversee quality claims for both finished goods and raw materials in accordance with corporate and plant guidelines and procedures.
- Supervise Compliance Technicians, providing daily leadership in accordance with their responsibilities.
- Responsible for overseeing the Quality Hold area and report out to plant leadership.
- Organize and lead food safety certification efforts. (SQF/YUM/Burger King/Havi/Wendy's/Etc.)
- Manage Pest Control Program within the facility to meet customer requirements concerning food safety.
- Manage Quality Compliance and is the main contact for all quality compliance related issues.
- Works with management and employees to maintain and improve compliance documentation and perform training.
- Perform Quality training in New Hire Orientation.
- Review Quality SOP's and create new SOP's as needed.
- Vendor Claims and Raw Material investigations. Liaison between the plant and vendor relations.
- Will lead SQF compliance initiatives by performing routine audits and maintain action list to ensure the plant is 'Audit Ready'.
- Demonstrates daily the knowledge of structured problem-solving tools and their applications, using these abilities to analyze and create proactive solutions to maintain compliance documentation.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Oversee GEMBA program, ensuring audits are completed as required and address reoccurring or severe problems.
- Work with plant Compliance Manager on plant safety and environmental issues as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with all levels of employees, from floor level, up to Corporate Safety and Quality, through email, calls, and meetings.
- Follow all applicable food service and PPE policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Using Microsoft Excel, prepare reports and document test and audit results.
What We Need From You
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.
- Two years of quality or safety experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, or four years in a warehouse of manufacturing setting.
- Reading, writing and basic math skills and knowledge of Duro quality standards are needed.
- Must be computer literate. Must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be able to speak in public, with good communication and leadership skills
- Must be able to effectively lead meetings with employees and management.
- Self-managing with organization, time management, and analytical skills.
