The Paralegal will assist with legal research, document preparation, regulatory compliance, and contract management to support the bank's legal and business operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries on banking regulations, financial laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support the legal team in corporate governance matters, including preparing board resolutions and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with litigation management by gathering documents, coordinating with external counsel, and tracking case developments.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assist with ensuring the bank's policies align with applicable laws.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department, including coordinating meetings and maintaining calendars.



Qualifications
Education/Experience:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal.


Skills:


  • Strong knowledge of state and federal statutes and regulations, preferably those that impact the financial services industry.
  • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
