Job Description Summary:

The Senior Social Media Specialist will conceptualize, oversee, develop, and manage content across Draper's digital communications channels (company website, social media, video resources, etc.) to drive the company's reputation in the industry and achieve specific business goals. The Senior Social Media Specialist will work collaboratively with business leaders to promote Draper's brand, actions, and events associated with social media campaigns.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create visually engaging content (static posts, videos, GIFs, ads, animations) that align with the Draper brand and marketing goals

  • Manage all content streams and schedule/publish approved material across all relevant channels - consistently maintaining significant lead time on social media calendars for review, edits, and more.

  • Develop, design, and edit social media assets for company website, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Reddit, print and digital media, etc.

  • Manage Draper's digital advertisements (Google Ad, Words, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure Draper's messaging is conveyed on social media channels in line with other content

  • Partner with external web development agency responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Draper's website

  • Gather and analyze current and past reports, using tools like Google Analytics, to track digital impact with statistics and results

  • Develop mobile video content for social platforms, taking ideas from the concept state to final production

  • Use analytics to set goals and conduct testing to optimize business development through the website

  • Track trends in digital content field and leverage to benefit Draper

  • Partner closely with Draper's editorial team to ensure consistent storytelling and optimal use of editorial resources

  • Set up daily tasks and activities for Draper social media outlet accounts

Skills/Abilities

  • Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.

  • Experience translating highly technical information into real-world marketable messages.

  • Understanding of how social media is used to support business goals.

  • Highly motivated and capable of solving problems independently, as well as working part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Attention to detail and a creative mindset

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously

  • Knowledge of CUI and proprietary classification

  • Proficient in a range of Adobe Creative Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  • Strong copy, editing, writing, and a clear and consistent brand voice.

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 and Google Analytics to track ad conversions and to build monthly analytic reports

  • Creating content and writing ad copy

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally with major in Communications, Design, Public Relations, Marketing, or another relevant field.

Experience

  • Requires 3-5 years related experience

Additional Job Description:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous work

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to travel, if required
