I-240 Service Road, OKC OK 73135 Department: Human Resource Shift: Full-Time, Days. No weekends/No holidays Responsibilities The FMLA/Leave Administrator is responsible for the full-cycle administration of all employee leave of absence programs including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), disability claims, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other statutory leaves. This role ensures a positive and compliant leave experience for employees, while serving as a key advisor to leadership and HR on leave policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage leave of absence programs including FMLA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), ADA, USERRA, and Workers' Compensation, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert on all leave-related matters, maintaining effective communication with employees and leadership. Review medical documentation and eligibility requirements to determine appropriate leave types and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Coordinate and track concurrent leaves (FMLA and Workers' Comp) and ensure accurate documentation and reporting. Counsel and advise managers and team members on FMLA guidelines, accommodation processes, and return-to-work procedures. Collect and track benefit premiums during unpaid leave periods to ensure coverage continuation. Respond to requests for leave extensions and communicate approvals or denials to employees and department leaders. Monitor changes in federal and state leave legislation, including ADAAA, USERRA, and any applicable state-specific leave laws. Maintain accurate records in the HRIS/leave management system and generate reports to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Support and document the interactive process under the ADA, ensuring timely and lawful accommodations are provided when appropriate. Identify potential issues or fraudulent activity through auditing and follow appropriate escalation protocols. Qualifications Education: High school diploma and/or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in leave administration, benefits, employee relations, or HR compliance. Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, disability benefits, and leave of absence programs. Experience interpreting legal documents, medical certifications, and compliance policies. Skills & Competencies In-depth knowledge of FMLA and leave laws at the federal and state level. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail. Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters. Skilled in auditing and identifying potential fraudulent leave claims. Ability to create and present reports to leadership and recommend process improvements. Why Join OHH?
