Commercial Loan Closer and Servicing Specialist

What you will do

• Partners with Loan Officers, Underwriters and attorneys as primary liaison with customers, attorneys, and title company representatives, during all phases of closing.
• Addresses clearing conditions required for underwriting and closing.
• May oversee analysis of applicant's financial data to evaluate credit worthiness. Makes decisions on loans within limits or makes recommendations.
• Directs and oversees the closing process for all new, modified, and extended loans.
• Works with attorneys to prepare loan documents once final committee approval is issued.
• Proactively interacts with various stakeholders to minimize the time and interruption to close a loan.
• Ensures receipt and review of all loan closing documents to guarantee accurate loan document creation and lien perfection.
• Reviews draft closing documents and settlement statements for accuracy, facilitate necessary corrections and obtain final approval from Underwriting and Asset Management.
• Assists with funding disbursements at closing.
• Performs post-closing review of loan files to ensure executed documents have accurate and complete signatures before delivery to Custodian and Servicing.
• Coordinates with Servicing and Asset Management related servicing functions
• Approves Survey and title orders.
• Approves Title - determines the property's ownership and any encumbrances are clear and valid, allowing the Company to proceed with the loan.
• Reviews and approves Loan Documents as assigned by Management.
• Approves payment of attorney fees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree degree in Business, Information Technology, or similar fields ideal Required
• 4-6 years related work experience in commercial loan closing processes Required
• Knowledge of key aspects of commercial real estate loan closing processes, title and escrow with demonstrated ability to close commercial real estate loans.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial real estate documentation.
• Requires a self-motivated individual who pays close attention to detail and who can prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to initiate and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with team members, attorneys, consultants, brokers, investors, and developers.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to identify and ask questions; ability to reason and crosscheck references.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, highly attentive to detail, and able to perform tasks with limited supervision in a time sensitive work environment.
• Ability to maintain the strictest confidence when handling confidential and non-routine information and matters.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
• While working in an independent and reliable manner, teamwork and effective communication will also be necessary for success.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to effectively work in office and remote locations.
• Ability to meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public.
