SummaryPerforms a wide variety of test to ensure tube conforms to company specs, will spend portion of day building sub-assemblies such as cooling nozzles and burping oil bags. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing tests, component and fixture installation, Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to work instructions and company specifications. Must be able to multi task while still being able to complete required daily workload. Must have some level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Must know how to or be comfortable using a multimeter, must be able to trouble shoot issues as they arise. Comfortable working around High Voltages, Grease, Oil, and other Chemicals. Job Description Duties may include: Assembles/processes product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment. Follows written process/assembly documentation. Inspects and tests parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment. Adjusts process within defined ranges based on measured results. Adheres to all safety requirements. Maintains a clean work area. Assists in maintaining efficient material flow through the work area. Actively participates on work area teams. Gains a basic understanding of material logistics. Participates in appropriate training to gain a basic understanding of several of business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge Experience Level with Business Tools Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel. LEVEL DESCRIPTION Skill Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Job Complexity Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Supervision Normally receives detailed instructions on work. Typical Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 0 - 1 year of experience Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Environment and Physical Demands Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation. Medium work that will frequently require employee to lift/move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift more than 65lbs to 75lbs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently. Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally. Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools frequently. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities. Jobsite hazards include exposure to chemicals, electrical current, repetitive hand motion.
