Position Title: EHS Specialist

Location: Solon, OH

Position Description:

This position is responsible for leading and driving the corporate and site level EHS strategy, culture and compliance for the Solon, OH facility. The EHS Specialist will lead and drive EHS strategy and performance, compliance, develop and implement systems and standards across the site.

Essential Duties:



  • Lead Environmental Health and Safety strategy and execute action plans aligned with company strategic objectives.
  • Develop, Implement, and sustain the EHS management systems, regulatory programs, and processes, which support compliance, and management systems with a heavy emphasis on FSI prevention.
  • Work as a part of the operations Leadership team with dotted line responsibilities to the plant manager.
  • Manage all aspects of EHS compliance programs at the location with a heavy emphasis on critical safety programs as well as critical environmental permits.
  • Implementation of corporate EHS standards to assure compliance with internal standards and consistency across locations.
  • Work with the location leadership to drive a value based EHS culture and help develop clear EHS roles and responsibilities and ensure assignments across the location.
  • Ownership of the EHS management systems such as Gensuite, SDS & Learning management systems.
  • Support EHS capital investment projects for process improvements, compliance, as well as fatality and serious injury prevention. Oversee the Management of Change Process.
  • Coordinate EHS Industrial Hygiene Sampling.


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Minimum of 1-3 year of experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Certified safety professional degree or other applicable degree strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
