Overview

VTG is seeking a Program Analyst (Mid to Senior) to support Team Ships Front Office (TSFO) in Washington, DC. Position will be Remote, but in the DC area.


What will you do?

The Program Analyst candidate will be responsible for the below, but not limited

  • Provide NAVSEA, PEO Ships and SUPSHIP offices with direct and indirect support to echelon leadership and staff personnel from various military, government and civilian organizations in the scheduling, action planning, milestone tracking, document management, logistics coordination, invitation/RSVP processing, and event execution for keel laying, christening, commissioning, and other ship milestone ceremonies as required, in a high-tempo, high-visibility, no-fail environment.
  • Support joint cooperative efforts between government and civilian project teams to identify ceremony milestone objectives and ensure timely execution of required supportive tasks.
  • Consolidate and analyze historic and anticipated resource requirements and provide recurring reports to upper management for budgeting and resource deployment projections.
  • Coordinate with military public affairs officers and local protocol offices to ensure timely and effective implementation of required resources to support dynamic event schedules. Provide protocol guidance and recommendations to military and civilian leadership to support and promote standards of established naval customs, courtesies, and traditions. Procure materials, props, and print resources to support special events.
  • Provide oversight and management of ceremony support tasks to ensure compliance with Department of Defense and Department of the Navy standards and regulations for ethics and fiscal stewardship.
  • Support and participate in identifying, analyzing, and addressing task challenges and opportunities, and provide recommended solutions for improvements in effectiveness and efficiency through after-action reporting processes and subsequent implementation of best practices and lessons learned for enhanced efficiency and quality of service.
  • Collect and assemble event details and prepare summary briefing documents for use by key leadership personnel, planning teams, event participants, and distinguished guests.
  • Develop, manage, and coordinate transportation and logistics plans for ceremony participants and distinguished guests, to include travel and lodging details, procurement of vehicles and drivers, processing requisition requests, and the briefing and training of ceremony transportation drivers.
  • Interface with military, government, and shipyard security teams to review and support security plans that include ceremony and passenger background, safety, driver/vehicle/passenger assignments, and event timeline to ensure the safe transportation throughout the event.
  • Serve as a liaison for the ship sponsor and distinguished participants/guests to convey attendance requirements and itinerary details.
  • Perform research, collection, assembly, and printing of comprehensive information packages containing photographs, biographies, timeline schedules, event summaries, and other information to support special events and ceremonies.
  • Monitor shipments of critical ceremony presentation documents and materials to shipyard, hotel, and government receiving offices. Track delivery of shipped items to appropriate recipients to ensure they are in place to support the ceremony activity schedule.
  • Interact frequently with senior military, Congressional representatives and staffers, foreign military senior officers, government, and civilian personnel. Must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Develop and maintain key Navy documents, descriptive summaries, master plans, and plans of actions and milestones.
  • Maintain and improve proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Skills:

  • At least 7 years of experience providing programmatic support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent U.S. military service experience, or a combination of both.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Have an active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail in the creation, review and processing of documents and written correspondence.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings in person or via phone and/or video conferencing.
  • Ability to travel for 12 or more non-consecutive weeks annually to provide on-site coordination and execution support for ship ceremonies.
  • Ability to be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a backpack or messenger bag in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $70,000-$110,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
