Job Title: Business Analyst/Scrum Master
Clearance Required: Public Trust - Federal Client requires US Citizenship
Work Location: Remote

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Business Analyst/Scrum Master for a remote position on a Federal program in Alexandria, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Supports the business and data analysis activities alongside the project/program manager, technical staff, and federal clients for IT strategy and business support services.
  • Provide business analysis and testing support for the development of financial regulatory software.
  • Collect and analyze business processes for potential business expansion.
  • Gather Business Requirements from multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Collect Functional Requirements from technical sources including data analysis, technical members of the team, and reviewing existing applications.
  • Ability to work with Developers and Product Owners to groom PBIs.
  • Work as a member of an agile team developing software.
  • Capture requirements in a backlog as Product Backlog Items.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions and coordinate with other Teams and stakeholders.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Ability to run agile ceremonies.


Required Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance, or related field


Experience/Skills:



  • Federal Client requires US Citizenship.
  • Four or more years of Business Analyst experience - preferably in a financial regulatory or banking environment.
  • Background capturing requirements in the support of software development including an understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements, including comfort with technical requirements.
  • Ability to work in a demanding Agile environment, responding to client requests and working with both inside and outside stakeholders.
  • Experience developing software test cases, expected results, functional and regression testing.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to organize and build out a backlog in alignment with strategic objectives and business priorities.
  • Utilized requirement capturing tools including Team Foundation Server or GitHub.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled using Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Worked as a business Analysts at ta financial regulator i.e. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of comptroller of the currency (OCC), Federal reserve Board (FRB), Securities and exchange commission (SEC)
  • Agile or Scrum Certification(s)
  • Ability to provide Tier 3 support, communicate with users and resolving tickets


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $75,275- $125,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
