Sr. Specialist / Manager - Quality Systems

Role Description

Position Responsibilities:

• This position provides support to the Kalamazoo Site as Quality Authority for Computerized Business Systems and system owner support for QO Computerized Business Systems.
• Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Trackwise support and reporting
  • SAP QM support
  • Support for administrative functions such as account approvals, query and report writing, troubleshooting, metrics, and customer communications.
  • Query development, advanced Excel skills for formula / calculation development and lab support, individual project work, etc.
• The successful candidate will be able to handle challenging work requirements (including individual prioritization of daily work). They will possess strong team skills and will have a focus on continuous improvement in the workplace.
• They will have the ability to master multiple applications such as Veeva Vault, Trackwise, SAP LIMS, and SAP, in addition to being able to interact and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders in order to provide services in a timely manner.
• Must comply with cGMPs, Zoetis Quality Standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• The candidate will work with Zoetis Technology and Digital and the business to ensure compliance of computerized systems at the Kalamazoo site.
• The candidate will act as SME for validated computerized systems in customer and regulatory audits and inspections.
• Partners with operations and technical support on continuous improvement projects.
• Additional responsibilities of the manager-level will include lead cost savings and improvement projects, serve as the liaison to the global service desk, provide network support cross-site, and mentor cross-discipline quality assurance colleagues.

Technical / Other Skills:

• Experience in support of computerized business systems, application and/or validation support, query development, and advanced Excel skills is required.
• Laboratory experience and SAP LIMS knowledge is desired.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and can handle changing deadlines and responsibilities.
• Good communication skills to deal with all levels of customers and demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
• The ideal candidate must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices, computer validation regulations, CFR 21 Part 11 regulations, Good Documentation Practices, and other applicable regulations for validated computerized systems is preferred.
• Additional skills of the manager-level will include advanced coding and troubleshooting of all quality assurance applications, configuration/deployment/maintenance of next-generation SAP, and advanced regulatory inspection support with systems-based corrective/preventative actions.

Education & Experience:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in science (or related discipline) or equivalent experience. Target education/experience for role levels:
  • Sr. Specialist Level: 5-8 Years Experience with BA/BS, 3-6 Years with MBA
  • Manager Level: 9-13 Years Experience with BA/BS, 7-11 Years with MBA
