Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The primary duty of the Franchise Warehouse Manager position is managing the daily warehouse operations, both Retail and On-Premise.

Essential Functions

  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, holidays. Travel may be required. Might be required to be on-call.
  • Managing the operations function.
  • Supervising the operations team.
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining subordinate employees, and making recommendations with regard to promotions, demotions, and other changes of status.
  • Communicate all company policies, general or specific as related to safety and security, to employee-partners and ensure compliance is enforced.
  • Organize and implement work schedules that will facilitate the day and night shifts work being completed timely and with minimum overtime.
  • Must be able to operate all fleet on Warehouse Yard.
  • Follow SOP on minimum meeting schedule and guidelines (i.e., Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) as directed by level.
  • General oversight of Warehouse functions.
  • Must schedule, conduct, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in meetings.
  • Prepare and/or present to employee partners appropriate information on operations.
  • Oversee training of employee-partners in the operations function.
  • Work with Employee Experience to schedule new hire orientations and work schedule.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work for all direct reports.
  • Prepare and conduct all direct reports evaluations.
  • Address both internal and external complaints and resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
  • Complete all required paperwork to Company Policy and timeline.
  • Monitor department payroll and make any necessary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and no-harassment laws and policies.
  • Participate and contribute to the Franchise "Strategic Planning" process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Other Requirements



  • Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth)
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Slip Resistant Shoes and any other PPE required as a result of a job hazard analysis.
  • All tasks within the warehouse are physically demanding and labor-intensive. Employees within this role are required have the ability to: stand, walk, stoop, reach and climb up and downstairs throughout shift as well as the ability to work in a fast paced and warm environment, especially during summer months.



Required education and experience



  • Education:


    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree; Required.


  • Computer Skills:


    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, ShareFile, OneNote, and OneDrive


  • Experience:


    • 3 plus years of Warehouse Management Experience (or other comparable experience approved by management); Required


  • Certifications and Licenses:


    • Must have a valid state driver's license, for state of residence, with a good driving record.
    • Must be able to be Forklift Certified by Buffalo Rock Company.

Tools- Telephones, scanners, desktop/laptop computers

Technology- Software: VIP, MEI, WMS, Celcom, Prevail/Avail, 365 ADM, TimeClock Plus scheduling software

Knowledge

Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and supervision and coordination of people and resources.

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.
