Langley Federal Credit Union has proudly served members since 1936, offering financial solutions to help individuals and families reach their goals. This summer, we're excited to launch our first 10-week Summer 2025 Internship Program-an opportunity for motivated college juniors and seniors to gain hands-on experience in the financial industry. Full Time (40 hours/week) attendance will be required on site in Newport News, VA, from Monday June 2 - Friday August 8.

Internship Overview

The Marketing Promotions Intern will gain hands-on experience in developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at driving new membership growth and engagement. This internship is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual interested in digital marketing, event planning, and promotional campaign management. You will work closely with the Marketing Department, assisting with promotional initiatives, branch engagement efforts, and sponsorship event coordination. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of marketing activities and develop skills in both digital and traditional marketing efforts.

Responsibilities



  • Assist in the creation and management of new member promotions, leveraging digital marketing channels, in-branch materials, and other strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of branch events to increase foot traffic and attract new members.
  • Coordinate with branch teams to plan, promote, and implement local marketing initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Work with the marketing team to create digital content, promotional materials, and member communications for campaigns.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Assist in sponsorship coordination, ensuring marketing materials and branding are appropriately represented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support additional marketing initiatives as needed.


Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience or coursework in digital marketing, event planning, or social media is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with marketing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or social media management platforms is a plus.
  • Passion for marketing, member engagement, and community-driven initiatives.
