Aircraft Worker - Repair & Reclamation Location Nellis AFB, NV Job Posting No 2025-024 111533 113169 you will need to scroll (using outside bar) to the bottom of the page and click on the "Apply Start Date ASAP Contract Nellis Aircraft Maintenance & Support Services Salary Range $43.03 Posting Date 04/15/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Yes FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for an Aircraft Worker - Repair & Reclamation with the following knowledge and experience: Assists with daily aircraft Crash Recovery operations for all assigned, TDY and support aircraft. May assist with troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft, structures, systems, components, and associated support equipment. May assist in removal, installation and conducting functional tests of repaired aircraft systems and components. May assist in adjusting, aligning, and rigging aircraft systems. Inspects and identifies aircraft for corrosion prevention and repair. Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required. Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required. May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by AFI and as required by management. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. Strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required. Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians. High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language. Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements. Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms). Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash. Performs any other supportive duties as assigned. Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required). Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test. Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract. In addition, the candidate must possess the following minimum requirements: Minimum of 2 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Crew Chief. Working knowledge of MIS systems and forms documentation. Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualification.
