As a Tax Analyst I with American Family Insurance you will conduct work at an entry level of accounting knowledge and tax accounting experience. You will work with direction and guidance of experienced tax staff on the State Tax Team. You will report to the Senior Corporate Tax Manager, and work with a team of other Tax Analysts.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI. Position Compensation Range: $52,000.00 - $85,000.00Pay Rate Type: SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Primary Accountabilities * Prepare state income tax returns, tax provisions and estimated tax payments, assist the premium tax team by providing data to third-party premium tax filing preparer and by recording transactions in the general ledger and various projects. *Prepare basic level portions of complex tax returns. *Assist an experienced tax accountant in the defense of state income and premium, tax audit issues of basic complexity and materiality. *Assist in the control and periodic maintenance of spreadsheets, computer-related systems. *Complete research, project implementation, and tax counsel as assigned on matters of basic complexity. *You will keep current on tax developments and consults with several partners on project and business plans with a basic level of complexity and materiality. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements *Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. *Demonstrated experience reflecting agility, flexibility and problem-solving attributes. *Basic knowledge and understanding of general accounting concepts. *Demonstrated experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer). *0-2 years of tax/accounting/financial experience Licenses: *Not Applicable.
