Summary:

The Director - Project Integration position will report to the Vice President of Terminal Services and serves as the interface between multiple Engineering project teams and the Terminal Operations organization for various international projects that the company is evaluating. The successful candidate will be working closely with the E&C Capital Projects team to provide operational input and coordination to support projects from the concept phase and initial commercial contracts, through design, construction and commissioning phases for multiple international projects.

This position will be located at the Energy Transfer Houston office and provide leadership and support for the design, execution, commissioning and start-up of approximately $5.0B+ in growth capital spend.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Work collaboratively with Business Development and Project Engineering to ensure the success of some of the partnership's largest and most impactful growth projects.
  2. Lead the Operations team assigned to these projects within the Terminal Operations organization.
  3. Work with project management teams to drive safety and environmental performance with contractors and ensure they work under the ET's safety philosophy and policies, where appropriate.
  4. Coordinate with the commercial Scheduling, Accounting, Measurement, Quality, LTO and other operational support organizations to successfully implement and integrate all portions of the projects.
  5. Work with the appropriate regulatory agencies (OSHA, PHMSA, USCG, DEP, etc.) and ensure 100% compliance with all applicable regulations.
  6. Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans for new assets.
  7. Work closely with Project Directors/Managers responsible for development and execution of large-scale Capital Growth projects
  8. Take part in PSM activities for area facilities. (attend PHA's, maintain facility drawings, resolve PHA action items, etc.)
  9. Maintain facility process simulations and work with other process engineers to develop process solutions while following engineering standards, code compliance, company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
  10. Participate in the design review and approval process to ensure all projects are built for reliability, flexibility, maintenance (including inspections and testing), and optimized for energy demand.
  11. Act as the operational lead and review for commercial contracts and connection agreements.
  12. Work directly with internal and external customers at various levels of the organization during project development and execution.
  13. Develop OPEX estimates and assist the local operations team in budgeting for the new operation.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  1. 12+ years of operational and/or project experience in oil and gas
  2. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  3. Highly motivated with a consistent drive for growth and development
  4. Solution oriented mindset and ability to apply Critical Thinking skills
  5. Organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks
  6. Strong verbal and written communications skills
  7. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  8. Team player with a willingness to assist outside of own discipline
  9. Proficiency utilizing Engineering Process Simulation Programs (ProMax, Hysys, etc.)
  10. Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications


Preferred Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  1. Process operations experience
  2. Experience with PSM facilities and PHA/LOPA processes
  3. Experience with PHMSA (CFR 195) regulations
  4. Liquid terminal experience including cold NGL storage and dock operations
  5. Liquid pipeline experience including NGL's
  6. Operations, Maintenance or Technical Operations experience in the Midstream industry
  7. Professional Engineer (PE) License
  8. Fluent in Spanish language

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Extensive travel to foreign countries outside the United States. Could be as high as 50% in a given year.
