The Senior Specialist - Global Development & System Optimization plays an integral role managing company growth initiatives, with a key focus on the Build-to-Suit program and company led development including projects in the US, Canada and UK. The position is responsible for day-to-day management, cross functional coordination and documentation of active Build-to-Suit projects, including dispositions of company owned restaurants to Franchisees. The Senior Specialist will also be responsible for forecasting and financial analysis for company led development projects, dispositions and ad hoc System Optimization work. This position will have a dotted line reporting structure to the Director of Company Development.
Responsibilities
- Leads the cross functional alignment with Sr. Manager, System Optimization Finance, Legal, Construction, Development, Real Estate, Operations and Accounting teams to coordinate key milestones are being met for company led development projects, including, but not limited to: lease agreement/development agreement execution, project fee invoices/payments, financial review and approval, training completion and operational readiness to ensure a successful new restaurant opening.
- Serves as the point of contact for the disposition of company owned assets for both internal company stakeholders as well as acquiring franchisee. This includes cross functional coordination with Operations, Legal, Franchise Management, HR, IT and Finance to collect necessary due diligence. Responsible for leading the due diligence process, ensuring all legal documentation and financing requirements are met. Ensures relevant parties are informed in a timely manner to ensure a successful disposition.
- Manages all dashboards, reporting and project update distributions for all global company led development projects, including Franchise Dev Program, BTS and company development. Ensures accurate information is presented in a concise, executive level summary and is responsible for highlighting any project delays or required escalations.
- Supports the System Optimization team during Franchise Flip transactions. Ensures efficient collection of seller diligence items, financial mapping of franchisee financial statements, management of deal timeline and weekly transaction calls, collection of buyer diligence questions and facilitates the sharing of information between buyer/seller. Responsible for ensuring all transaction documents, including executive summaries for SLT members, reflect negotiated deal terms.
- Leads coordination between Franchise Recruiting, System Optimization, Operations and Franchise Management related to new franchisees entering the system through acquisition or development. Will manage the Approved Franchise Candidate pipeline, including recommendations on Financial capabilities of new franchisees.

What we expect from you
- BS Business degree or equivalent background.
- 3-5 years professional work experience preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis in finance, real estate development, or legal.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and prioritize; analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills; administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills including competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to balance workload while continually reprioritizing.
