POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director, Revenue Cycle Transformation is responsible for oversight of system level process redesign, technology enhancement, organizational design, and performance improvement. The Executive Director will work with executive leadership across BMC, BUMG, SEMC and GSMC to identify ways to increase net revenue, accelerate cash flow, and reduce costs by addressing people, process, and technology components across the revenue cycle. The Executive Director will be responsible for multimillion dollar revenue improvement targets annually. Develop strategic, long-term goals for process redesign, technology enhancement, and performance management. Directly supervises, manages, and develops a results-oriented team of Directors. Continuously assesses and develops an organizational structure that ensures high performance and achievement of goals. Hires and trains for leadership positions (or directs the hiring and training of staff) in the Revenue Cycle Management Transformation function. Manages performance and directs ongoing programs for staff development. Lead a team of 3 directors in root cause analysis to identify revenue leakage, reduce bad debt, and accelerate cash collections Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that reasonable goals are established, adequate time is allotted to achieve optimal integration, and deadlines are met. Develops plans to reduce redundancy between hospital and physician billing across all BMCHS entities Position will manage and direct multi-tiered large-scale budgets for projects spanning multiple years and multiple operating departments. Project budgets could exceed $40 million over multiple years. Manage multiple consulting resources from various agencies to ensure deliverables on time and on budget. Oversee and direct annual budget process for Revenue Cycle Division; propose and lead department cost management activities. Provide senior project management support to mission critical system and process improvement projects. Oversees project budgets. Assists with a variety of change management activities associated with large scale efforts. Serve as a lead organizer and presenter, in conjunction with Vice President, on Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Operational committees as appropriate. Provide key administrative and financial reporting for all appropriate committees. Responsible for the analysis and assessment of diverse data relating to the revenue cycle. Acting as an internal consultant, this Director provides essential quality reports, and advice and improvement recommendations to senior leadership. Oversee department performance metrics. Review performance against Service Level Agreements; summarize the data in an actionable format and communicate results. Work with key business leaders to develop appropriate plans to improve results. Develop benchmarking dashboard(s). Work with revenue cycle vendors to discover and document the root cause of any related risk management deficiencies and formulating and documenting corrective action plans and related monitoring and reporting to protect against occurrence of such failures. Determine strategy to attract and grow the BMC vendor partnership within the revenue cycle team, as necessary. Serve as a key role in representing BMC during initial contract negotiations, as well as re-negotiations.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Health Care or related field and 12 or more years' experience in the areas of finance, revenue cycle management, or information systems required. Must have at least 9 years of prior senior level management experience required Experience within health care required and process improvement methodologies required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
CPA and/or Masters with 10 or more years' experience in the areas of finance, revenue cycle management, or information systems; and at least 7 years of prior senior level management experience preferred. Experience within health care required and process improvement methodologies required.

Ability to present to and interact with senior levels of management and with physician leaders. Highly skilled experience and knowledge of Windows-based software required, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Access. Proficient skills to collect, organize and analyze data, produce actionable reports, and recommend improvements and solutions. Possess superb oral and written skills. Possess effective time management skills to permit handling of large workload.
