JOB TITLE: Network Analyst (Senior)

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Infrastructure Services & Back Office Support (ISBOS)

LOCATION: Onsite Position at the FBI CJIS location in Clarksburg, WV

POSITION TIMING: Contingent on award; expected contract start date June 2025

ITC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Analyst to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of enterprise-level networks that support mission-critical federal law enforcement and national security functions.

As a Senior Network Analyst, you will lead efforts to monitor, analyze, and optimize LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructures. You will be instrumental in diagnosing and resolving complex network performance issues, implementing security best practices, and contributing to long-term strategic planning for bandwidth and infrastructure needs. This position requires close collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions.

You'll serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior team members, providing 24x7 support coverage, and maintaining thorough documentation through platforms like Jira and Confluence. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), VPNs, and enterprise-level hardware, combined with a deep understanding of cloud and security principles. An active Top Secret clearance is required, and prior experience supporting FBI or other federal programs is highly desirable.



Responsibilities

    Provide on-site/on-duty monitoring personnel where identified, for 24x7x365 services
  • Create and review network blueprints, including LANs, WANs, and cloud networks, including scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Assess new network hardware and software technologies, provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements based on emerging trends and business needs.
  • Identify and resolve network performance issues, analyzing network traffic patterns, and optimizing network configurations for optimal efficiency.
  • Identify potential network vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and advising on security best practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Forecast future network bandwidth needs and identify infrastructure upgrades to accommodate growing demands.
  • Act as a go-to person for complex network issues, provide technical guidance/training to other IT staff.
  • Monitor network implementation projects, including configuration, installation, and testing of new network components.
  • Developing network documentation and training materials for other team members.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in Jira, Confluence, or any other document repository of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
  • Staff day/afternoon/midnight shifts.
  • Troubleshooting customer issues to identify and resolve root cause.
  • Perform issue resolution and standard operating procedure management.


Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Experience: Minimum of eight years working experience
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Incident Management experience preferred.
    • In depth knowledge of cloud, network, security, and routing protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
    • Experience with WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
    • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance.

DESIRED:

  • FBI Program Experience: Prior exposure to FBI IT/Infrastructure programs and operations is highly desirable, as it will allow for a faster integration into the CJIS Division's mission and objectives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, System Management, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred
