A research technician position is available at the Cardiovascular Research Center of the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the laboratory of Dr. Christiane Wrann located in the Charlestown Research Lab. Our lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise on metabolism and the brain. A research technician is sought for participation in research projects involving a wide range of potential techniques including molecular-based screenings, cell culture work, and physiology in genetic mouse models. The technician will work closely with the PI to help complete ongoing projects. The technician will also be involved in the organization of the lab, e.g. ordering supplies or participation in joint upkeep of the lab.

Previous wet lab research experience is mandatory but additional training will be provided. Additionally, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are required.
