Warehouse - CDL B driver ark ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Verify materials received against purchase orders. 2. Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck. 3. Transport materials to and from vendors using company vehicles. 4. Prepare products for shipping to customers. 5. Computer experience is necessary. 6. Maintain Warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material. 7. Notify supervisor of low inventory supplies. 8. Operate hoist to lift heavier material and equipment, which needs to be transported. 9. Periodically, take inventory of material, equipment and supplies as assigned. 10. Assist with basic assemblies as needed. 11. Greet customers QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience High School diploma; Minimum 1-3 years related experience and/or training; Forklift experience a plus. Must be able to get Forklift Certificate. Language Skills Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret general business documents such as purchase orders, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple business correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively to vendors and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Ability The physical demands described here are representative of those that must by met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; stand, walk, and sit. Must be able to climb onto a flatbed truck and use straps to secure products. Commercial Drivers License (CDL) The individual must have or be able to obtain a Class B - CDL License. Must have an excellent driving record. Work Environment Must be able to work individually, and as a team to get the job done. Pre-Employment Physical and DOT Compliance Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and drug test. Also, the DOT requires a physical/drug test every two years. |
