The Opportunity
As the Technical Product Manager for navify Mutation Profiler, you will be a member of the Clinical Workflows International Business Team. The Technical Product Manager is a critical role in ensuring the success of our vision to build and bring innovative solutions to our customers in the (relevant) settings. The Technical Product Manager will be pivotal in bridging the gap between engineering, clinical stakeholders, and the business teams to drive the development of innovative solutions. This position will be responsible for gathering deep customer insights and developing accurate product and feature requirements, which leverage cutting edge technology to advance the product roadmap of navify Mutation Profiler. They will oversee the product lifecycle from ideation, to delivery, ensuring that the product meets the needs of patients, customers, and the regulatory standards; and closely aligns to the strategic priorities of the Healthcare Insights Customer Area .

The Technical Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams' alignment, so as to guide the focus of the experts and squads. As such, you will closely work with other product managers and cross-functional stakeholders across Roche Diagnostics Global & Affiliate organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving the Product Roadmap, VoC, and KOL Engagements

  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive technical roadmap, that accounts for innovative advancements, balancing technical feasibility, user needs, and business goals.

  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, clinical curators, and designers to ensure technical design considerations are well understood.

  • Translate complex clinical and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA compliance etc) into actionable technical specifications.

  • Spearheading user research and incorporating the insights into new product ideas.

  • Gather deep customer insights and develop accurate product and feature requirements for new introductions.

  • Cultivate networks with key opinion leaders in the industry as well as with key stakeholders within the company for idea generation and adoption

  • Distill key questions needing to be answered, and use relevant market research/insights to guide appropriate decisions.

  • Identify opportunities and generate ideas for growth and strengthening the performance of our product through new features that leverage the organization's infrastructure to provide unique and lasting customer value

Establishing Segmentation & Product Support

  • Tailor features in the product to meet the needs of the target customer segments.

  • Analyze performance metrics and user data to iterate on product functionality, and guide backlog priorities.

  • Work with key internal departments to help resolve product design issues and own trade-off decisions.

Supporting development of Business Case

  • Support the product team in forecasting revenue or savings opportunities associated with product or platform development initiatives; support in the creation of business cases and present to stakeholders including up to executive management.

  • Participate in and influence the development of cost strategies.

  • Lead setting OKRs for the product line and in alignment with business leadership, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Executing on Product delivery and foster collaboration

  • Drive new product launches.

  • Align and influence cross functional team on a product level mission and roadmap that require problem solving, information analysis and synthesis, and the ability to persuade and influence others.

  • Act as a key externally focused contact for internal departments including Engineering, Regulatory Affairs and Quality.

  • Collaborate frequently with stakeholders to develop and share information about product launch, competition, and technology upgrades as appropriate, and to gain information about the market landscape and customer needs.

  • Clearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, product teams, and other decision makers across the company.

  • Conduct customer visits, produce trip reports, and create a platform for information flow to Engineering and other stakeholders.

  • Act as the technical liaison between stakeholders, explaining system architecture and trade-offs in an accessible way.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Clinical Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Master's degree in Science/Engineering or an MBA is a big plus.

  • 7+ years of technical and business experience in relevant areas in Medtech, Life Sciences, or Digital Health.

  • Proven experience in product management for digital products (digital healthcare experience is highly desirable).

  • Subject matter expertise:

    • Scientific or Medical background, with experience in genomics is highly desirable.

    • Experience of the software market in healthcare, and proven business acumen.

    • Deep understanding of the Diagnostics industry, lifecycle & development process and global trends.

  • Leadership and people development:

    • Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to make a big impact and deliver their best every day.

    • Consistent record of building collaborative relationships with peers and teams, helping cross-functional teams address strategic opportunities and solve problems across the organization.

    • A desire and openness to learning and continuous improvement, both of yourself and your team members.

Management skills

  • Experience leading, motivating, coaching people and teams to drive customer focus in our mindset, work priorities and collaborative behaviors.

  • Evidence of strong strategic thinking, communication, planning and organizational skills required, e.g., through experience successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives.

  • Able to foster positive internal partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization.

  • Commitment to the organization's new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct and timely communication and proven ability to foster and build important relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

  • Ability to navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication and consensus building skills

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is between $127,500 - $236,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
