Department of Medicine: Aerospace Medicine Program:

University of Central Florida College of Medicine's Aerospace Medicine Program, designed to pioneer research, education, and clinical services in the rapidly evolving domains of aviation, space, and extreme environments medicine. With a multidisciplinary approach, this program is committed to advancing human health and performance in both space and terrestrial environments.

The Opportunity:

The Aerospace Medicine Program Coordinator provides general academic program and administrative support to faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the Aerospace Medicine Program. Assist with the development of academic programs and the establishment of the Aerospace Medicine Center.

Responsibilities:


  • Organize logistics for visitors, including parking passes, room reservations, meal arrangements, and additional procurement.

  • Schedule and manage calendars for laboratory spaces, faculty meetings, and program-related events.

  • Professionally answer and screen phone calls and assist walk-in visitors.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and maintain office communications.

  • Manage and maintain faculty calendars, curriculum vitae, and biosketches.

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for events and continuing medical education programs both in and out of state.

  • Assist faculty with academic and administrative duties, including instructional material preparation, tracking student and residents progress, and managing classroom and virtual scheduling.

  • Draft, edit, and prepare a wide range of documents - routine, complex, and confidential - including reports, correspondence, manuscripts, and presentations.

  • Create, maintain, and update program documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies as related to Aerospace Medicine.

  • Coordinate and support reporting functions, including data collection and preparation of internal, external, and accreditation reports.

  • Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.

  • Timely completion of university and college training and updates. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in higher education or research administration.

  • Comfortable working with various tools, technologies, and technical content.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or knowledge of project management processes.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $36,841- $49,275. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
