Position Summary
Under direct supervision, coordinates all activities and functions of a program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates activities and daily operations of a program.
  • May prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
  • Confers with staff and others to provide technical advice, provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Refers inquiries to others as needed.
  • May prepare or assists in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
  • May review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
  • May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
  • Drafts written communication and promotional literature.
  • May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
  • Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • 1 year of related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy, both orally and in writing
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Schedule: Fulltime, Hybrid, Monday-Friday. This position is based in Boston, but may occasionally include our other Ophthalmology Offices in Waltham, Needham, and Mass Eye & Ear Boston with advance notice as department or physician need arises.
