The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the Nuvotronics applications and infrastructure, overseeing IT systems that support manufacturing operations and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and executing Information Systems Security duties in accordance with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM). This includes serving as the designated Information System Manager (ISM) for classified environments.

The role is positioned within a federated IT operating model, where the corporate IT organization owns and manages enterprise infrastructure, telecommunications, hosting, cybersecurity governance, and service management. The IT Manager acts as the primary IT lead for the business unit, ensuring local technology delivery is aligned with business performance goals while remaining compliant with corporate standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, demonstrated experience in manufacturing environments, and a proven ability to innovate and implement IT solutions that streamline operations, enhance reliability, and meet strict security and compliance obligations. The position requires close collaboration with both corporate IT teams and on-site engineering, operations, and manufacturing stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Local IT Service Delivery & Business Unit Support

- Act as the lead IT representative for the business unit, managing end-user support, system troubleshooting, and local IT operations.
- Ensure smooth operation of on-site IT assets, including desktops, specialty hardware, software licensing, and business-critical applications.
- Serve as the local interface to corporate IT for escalations, planned changes, and infrastructure requests (network, hosting, telecom, etc.).
- Work closely with business unit stakeholders to translate operational needs into IT support strategies within the corporate framework.

2. Manufacturing Systems, ERP & MRP Integration

- Coordinate local support and continuous improvement for ERP/MRP platforms, including the JAMIS application, and related manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with production and supply chain leaders to resolve system issues and optimize data flow between IT systems and shop floor operations.
- Champion alignment between ERP/MRP configurations and local business process requirements.
- Partner with Corporate Enterprise Applications teams to support data management, business intelligence/reporting initiatives, and integration of business unit systems into enterprise applications.

3. Site-Level Cybersecurity & Compliance Execution

- Enforce corporate cybersecurity policies at the site level, ensuring user compliance with access controls, device management, and secure configurations.
- Conduct and/or assist with site-specific audits, system patching, vulnerability scanning, and incident response under the direction of the corporate cybersecurity team.
- Lead the remediation of identified site-specific security weaknesses or vulnerabilities, working in coordination with corporate security resources to ensure timely and effective risk mitigation.
- Serve as the designated Information System Manager (ISM) for the site's classified information systems, responsible for maintaining system accreditation packages, ensuring continuous monitoring, and supporting incident response and audit readiness activities.
- Support regulatory compliance (e.g., DFARS, ISO 27001, ITAR) and classified systems security activities in partnership with the local FSO and corporate ISSM.

4. Engineering IT Tools & Innovation

- Provide local support for engineering-specific tools, including PDM/PLM systems, license servers, CAD workstations, and specialized design platforms.
- Partner with engineering and R&D teams to enable tool accessibility and performance, ensuring corporate standards and license compliance are met.
- Lead or support projects to deploy business unit-specific IT tools or automation solutions aligned with corporate architectural guidelines.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that deliver operational value.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering-focused environment.
- US citizenship required, eligibility for DoD security clearance.
- IT certifications strongly preferred (e.g., Security+, ITIL, Six Sigma).
- Hands-on experience supporting ERP/MRP systems, particularly JAMIS, in a production setting.
- Familiarity with information security frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, ITAR).

Key Competencies:

- Strong relationship management skills across corporate and site teams.
- Ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements within a constrained corporate IT architecture.
- High attention to compliance and security within a classified or export-controlled environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to juggle daily support and long-term improvements.
- Clear communication and project coordination capabilities across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Notes:

This position operates in a federated IT model, where the corporate center owns core infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity governance. The Nuvotronics IT Manager must navigate within this framework, ensuring local business needs are met without compromising enterprise standards or security posture.
