Cutting Technician

JOB SUMMARY

As a Cutting Technician, your primary responsibility will be to operate Zund and or Matic Cutting Machines efficiently, ensuring accurate and high-quality production.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate cutting machines:
  1. Perform various functions, including cut, route, crease, draw, etc., using the cutting machines.
  2. Route material according to job specification in system.
  3. Ensure the equipment is used efficiently and effectively.
• Quality Assurance:
  1. Compare graphic items to the system to verify material, design, quantity, size, and overall product quality.
  2. Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure precision in cutting.
• Workspace Maintenance:
  1. Keep the work environment clean and organized.
  2. Clean, fold, and/or roll products for next department.
• Continuous Improvement:
  1. Actively seek ways to enhance knowledge and processes.
  2. Adjust cutting files in software to improve efficiency and accuracy of the cuts.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  1. Work effectively with other departments and team members to achieve optimal quality.
  2. Assist other cutters with training, lifting, organizing, etc.
• Basic Machine Maintenance
  1. Perform basic machine maintenance on cutting machines.
  2. Maintain logs for machine.
• Team Support:
  1. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
  2. Follow instructions from leads, supervisors, or managers.

This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration within a team. Continuous improvement and a proactive are key to success in this position. In addition:
