Counter Sales

First Supply is seeking an exceptional Counter Sales candidate, with a plumbing or HVAC background to enhance our team of dedicated professionals in the Twin Cities market.

Starting pay range $23.00 - $31.00 per hour.

Actively participate in sales, customer service, and warehouse activities as needed to support the team and meet customer needs.
• Engage directly with customers to develop and sustain strong, lasting relationships.
• Assist customers by recommending new products, suggesting alternatives, and promoting our Company.
• Identify and propose solutions that benefit all parties involved; or escalate critical issues to the most appropriate personnel to handle the situation.
• Accurately enter customer sales orders onto the business system.
• Maintain good housekeeping in counter and warehouse areas.
• Receive incoming product and put away in branch.
• Keep inventory amply stocked; remove or add inventory items to stimulate impulse sales; remove discontinued items from the sales floor.
• Ensure product orders are shipped or available for pickup in a timeframe to meet customer's needs.
• Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates, expected date of delivery, etc. for direct & special orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Two years of related experience or equivalent training in trade fields
• Extensive product knowledge in specialized area, (i.e. Plumbing/HVAC)
• Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC's business system
• Ability to assess customer needs and provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively with customers by telephone and in person
• Ability to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to provide customer satisfaction; and still consider the relative costs and benefits to all involved
• Functional capacities evaluation which demonstrates ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
