Position Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time, Non-Union Job Summary:

Tree Service Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused part-time Fuel & Equipment Support Tech to support our operations by fueling and performing basic maintenance checks on equipment at our yards. This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who takes pride in keeping equipment clean, safe, and ready to operate.

Supervisor Duties: No

Role & Responsibilities

• Fueling various pieces of equipment and buckets at company yards
• Checking and topping off fluid levels (engine oil, coolant, etc.)
• Greasing equipment to ensure proper operation and prevent wear
• Inspecting equipment cameras to ensure they are clean and functioning
• Reporting safety concerns or equipment issues promptly to the shop or supervisor
• Performing light maintenance and cleanup duties around the yards, such as:
• Removing debris
• Organizing tools and supplies
• Checking lighting or signage conditions
• Assisting with basic equipment care and readiness tasks as assigned
• Completing logs or reports to document equipment status, fueling, and any issues
• Supporting other duties or office support as needed based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma
• General mechanical knowledge or interest in equipment maintenance preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications/Education:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of fueling and equipment maintenance (oil, grease, inspections)
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication skills for reporting issues to the shop team
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain simple logs or records

Probationary Period:

1. 90-day probation period

Travel:

* This position is expected to travel to project sites and locations within California (Operating

Area)

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
