Job Objective: Supports Management with product sales and acquisition; store maintenance and appearance; customer development and retention; and banking and record keeping procedures. Proficiently use cash registers and assist others in basic register problem solving. 2. Implement store opening and closing procedures as assigned. 3. Support management with banking and reporting procedures. a. Apply cash handling procedures for opening and closing of registers. b. Make bank runs and daily deposits as needed. c. Report on store product acquisition, production and sales as requested. 4. Implement assigned strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals. a. Know the product acquisition, production and sales goals for the day. b. Know the product rotation process and is diligent in turning product over. c. Communicate with central warehouse to place orders for next day's processing when assigned. 5. Support management with store maintenance and appearance. a. Follow procedures for maintenance and safety concerns. b. Ensure displays and floor layout plans are being followed and updated. c. Identify ways to improve the appearance and appeal of store. 6. Support management in creating an enjoyable shopping experience with positive customer service skills. a. Handles customer complaints as needed. 7. Communicate with the store management regarding all facets of the store operations, keeping them updated and sharing all incidents and concerns when they are not in the store. 8. Supports management in creating a positive understanding of policies and procedures. a. Direct employee concerns to management. Job Description Page 2 of 3 9. Safeguards company assets within area of responsibility. a. Executes inventory control protocols to minimize loss through theft. b. Optimizes use of property, utilities, and product resources to reduce waste. 10. Must be available for a flexible schedule. a. Able to work early shifts, late shifts, and Saturdays as needed. b.
