Job Description
Grassroots Advocacy Director NRECA is a unique national trade association providing advocacy, financial services and business support services to over 900 consumer owned electric cooperatives across the country. Summary of Position As a member of our Government Relations department, you will be joining a team that advocates on behalf of NRECA members on federal legislative and regulatory matters and in national policy forums and develops and trains our grassroots to impact policies at the federal, state and local level. We are looking for a subject matter expert in grassroots advocacy and who wants to be a significant contributor to NRECA's political programs team. This person will identify opportunities for NRECA and its members to create, promote, expand and enhance its grassroots strategies and advocate base. This role will function as a strategic thought partner to VP Political Programs. We are seeking an experienced public affairs practitioner who is passionate about political engagement and the strategy, development, and execution of grassroots campaigns at both the state and federal levels. This is an ONSITE position located in Arlington, VA. Key Responsibilities
