Therapy Aide

The therapy aide assists in treatment of patients on assigned rotations, in addition to providing cross coverage of the Rehabilitation division's other locations/sites (Acute, Dodd Acute Inpatient, Outpatient Clinics), as need dictates. Duties relating to routine operation of the rehabilitation department, including department cleanliness, monitoring of equipment and supply inventories, maintenance and patient transportation may also be responsibilities of the aide. This position works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader.

Minimum Education Required

High School graduate or equivalent. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
Ability to add, subtract, multiply amp; divide whole numbers amp; to read amp; write simple sentences. Within 6 months of hire obtains American Heart Association Friends and Family emergency recognition or BLS certification.

Meets mandatory education and health requirements. Demonstrates competency in technical skills, interpersonal/interdepartmental relations, and cognitive skills to meet essential job functions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to engage comfortably with clinicians, patient access coordinators, leadership, and patients.
• Able to lift 45lbs to lift/organize and clean rehabilitation equipment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized and keep the clinic organized and cleanly in a busy outpatient setting.
• Strong time management and be able to work together as part of a multidisciplinary team.
