RFK Community Alliance has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Lead Lunch Cook to join our team in Lancaster, MA.
Who We Seek

We're looking for an experienced Lead Lunch Cook to plan and cook for our campus day school and residential students. You'll join our talented Food Services team to ensure healthy and appetizing Lunch meals are properly prepared and served in our dining hall. Be part of a team that creates exceptional meals by supporting local farms through seasonally inspired menus
Responsibilities
The Lead Lunch Cook responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Organizing, coordinating, and supervising the daily food preparation and production of both hot and cold foods daily main lunch for campus residents and includes scratch/speed-scratch cooking and maintaining lunch production records.
  • Maintaining quality when preparing meals that comply with student food allergies and special diets, kitchen recipes, portion control and follow the National School Lunch Program requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a kitchen team as well as independently preparing quality meals in a timely manner. This also may include on-site catering requests.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students in a professional manner when serving lunch daily.
  • Following kitchen sanitation and safety standards as well as Board of Health regulations
  • Attending training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated by Foodservice Manager



Requirements


  • A minimum of 3 years of food service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Food service management/culinary arts major; Serv Safe Food Handler and/or Allergen Awareness certifications a plus.
  • CORI qualified


Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months
