Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Work hours may vary depending on the need of the department. Depending on project 'go live' needs, this position may have some weekend/holiday/on-call requirements.
*This role is considered hybrid, but will require regular work onsite for projects
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technology solutions and applications. Understands interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs. Demonstrates a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
- Develops comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Manages operational workflow changes in conjunction with the technology solutions and applications implementation
- Manages the vendor selection process; develops, negotiates, implements and monitors contracts, ensuring conformance to approved plans and contract specifications.
- Manage acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-house accountants and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors.
- Develops, implements, and monitors project budgets that are complex in nature; allocates resources and tracks and approves expenditures; prepares reports detailing the status of the project budget and compliance to any requirements as specified by funding sources.
- Coordinates the work of consultants and team members who have been assigned responsibility for various portions of a project; establishes work plan responsibilities and scope of authority; ensures technical proficiency and productivity of project staff and arranges for training as necessary.
- Facilitates planning meetings with stakeholders and team members to discuss the project plan, including the fit-gap analysis and proposed budget; plans and conducts project meetings; develops, maintains, and presents a communication plan and related project status reports for key stakeholders.
- Reviews and analyzes project changes requests and makes recommendations related to the execution of these requests. Plans and conducts Change Management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. Conducts risk and cost/benefit analyses, manages risk associated with projects, and devises strategies to deal with unexpected crises and unresolved risks.
- Inspects projects for quality assurance. Performs project closure activities including release of contract and permanent team members from the project, and completing lessons learned and project implementation review of best practices.
- Performs lead work over lower level project management team members by developing or modifying work plans, assigning and distributing work, providing work instruction, resolving problems encountered during daily operations, and providing input for the performance enhancement plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a directly related field.
Experience: Five years of project management or business/project analyst experience.
Equivalency: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, one year of professional experience will serve as an equivalency to one year of education.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous healthcare project management experience
Previous Biomed experience in a hospital setting
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $109,636.42 to $164,454.63
