Overview

In this role you will help streamline operations and identify and recommend the best way to use the company's resources. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive logistics improvement performance. Specific accountabilities include strategy assistance, systems, analysis and reporting for inventory, replenishment transactions, inter-company inventory transfer, warehouse layout and product placement, and transportation performance from both the company fleet and external carriers.



Responsibilities

    Report key metrics of inventory, warehouse, and transportation performance
  • Develop parameters and configuration of ERP system, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and transportation management system (TMS)
  • Analyze warehouse and transportation performance, layout and product placement to develop and implement improvement strategies
  • Liaise and negotiate with key transportation vendors
  • Track quality, quantity, stock, transport costs, delivery timelines, and productivity
  • Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments
  • Be an advocate for a Continuous Improvement Culture
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Transportation and Logistics Manager


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Handling or Operations roles Required
  • Solid understanding of forecasting and inventory planning concepts preferred
  • Understanding of warehousing, transportation, and logistics concepts required
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and an analytics focused approach required
  • 10% travel required
