JOB TITLE: Registrar Business/Admin - LHC DEPT: Business Office/Admin Support LOCATION: MRMC Lewis Health Center - Hohenwald, TN SHIFT: PRN, as needed. JOB SUMMARY: The Clinic Registrars areas of technical competencies should include: Working knowledge of office equipment and computers, Medicare, Tenncare, healthcare insurance payment methodologies, and financial assistance policies and procedures. General knowledge of hospital payment plan guideline, hospital clinical departments and service protocols and healthcare coding practices. Strong negotiation and collection skills. Responsible for accuracy and correctness of registration information including financial data. Must communicate effectively with patients and hospital personnel, physicians, and office staff.
