A Brief Overview

Performs all routine and specialized OR IOM testing according to departmental, ASET and ACNS guidelines. Provides immediate oversight of the IOM Technologists, including orientation to unit upon hiring, assignment of daily tasks and staff scheduling. Oversees daily workflow and maintenance of equipment. Develops and implements policies and procedures in conjunction with the Electroneurodiagnostic Manager.

What You Will Do



  • Coordinates all scheduling of procedures.
  • Ensures that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
  • Effective communicator to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided to all shifts.
  • Coordinate and monitors work activities.
  • Reconciles charges for each case and discusses issues with appropriate staff members.
  • Lead the team in setting up, maintaining, and improving the development environment, integrating new technologies and best practices.
  • Oversee unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manages surgeon preferences and special requests
  • Updates staff on changes to the services( i.e. new surgeons, equipment, need in additional team members, initiatives, etc.)
  • Performing as knowledge expert and resource
  • Provides leadership in the delivery pf direct patient care


Additional Responsibilities



  • Assists Electroneurodiagnostic Supervisor and Manager in maintaining budget.
  • Oversee annual competencies of IOM staff.
  • Assist END Manager in maintaining IOM budget.
  • Oversees training, performance, and maintenance of IOM data archival process.
  • Performs departmental billing reconciliation in conjunction with END Manager.
  • Performs departmental Kronos time keeping in conjunction with END Manager.
  • Oversees correct Database entry and timely reporting in conjunction with END Manager.
  • Approximately 80% clinical and 20% administrative.
  • Maintains equipment and ordering of supplies
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
