Covia is looking for a dynamic Corporate Lab Technician who will have a positive impact on the Technology & Applications Team at its Concord, NC location. As a Corporate Lab Technician, you will support Technology and Application development by performing a variety of laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, testing, data analysis, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science and laboratory techniques, as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Conduct work in a safe and effective manner following established procedures.
  • Analyze data and generate reports.
  • Maintain laboratory in clean working order.
  • Maintain equipment, samples, and supplies.
  • Be familiar with the physical properties and potential hazards of required chemicals.
  • Maintain research notebooks for recording and documenting work performed and results.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement of the procedures, processes, and equipment.
  • Properly train fellow employees in new and existing procedures as needed. Give technical assistance as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Associate degree in chemistry, Material Science, or related field required
  • 1 year of experience working in a lab setting or equivalent educational experience
  • Must possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
