MicroHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a critical role within the Project Delivery Team (PDT), responsible for the complete lifecycle management of medical equipment deployment in government healthcare facilities. This position requires specialized expertise in biomedical systems and government medical logistics to ensure the delivery of safe, functional, and fully integrated medical environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, locate and recommend equipment to be purchased for new medical facilities, major renovations and expansion of existing medical facilities
  • Understands the architectural design process through all phases - programming, schematic design, design development, construction document development, procurement, construction administration and field coordination, installation and logistics
  • Facilitate delivery and installation activities, including coordinating the move schedule with vendors, warehouse management, developing and maintaining the equipment delivery schedule, turnover of manuals, and other activities that may be contracted as part of delivery and installation activities
  • Work with architectural consultants and contractors to review drawings, identify and note design/equipment conflicts and work to reconcile drawings to functionality, and provide equipment specifications
  • Perform technical evaluations and electrical safety inspections in compliance with manufacturer and government specifications
  • Ensures management follows established rules and regulations for logistics related to the acquisition program.
  • Provides logistical support to management to ensure materials, goods, equipment, supplies are appropriate and cost effective for the program.
  • Assist government equipment planners with acquisition schedules, logistical coordination, and integration into construction project timelines
  • Track MTF medical devices procurement activities.
  • Review, clarify, and interpret manufacturer documentation and technical manuals

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting medical equipment planning, installation, and validation
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and interpret technical manuals and engineering documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and documentation skills; ability to train, brief, and advise clinical and technical teams
  • Familiarity with integrated medical systems, including
    • Patient monitoring systems
    • Medical imaging equipment
    • Laboratory systems
    • Laser Systems
Salary:
  • $60,000 - $70,000

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee may lift or move objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
