Job Summary
The Vice President of Supply Chain is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, strategic approach to purchasing, planning, and shipping/receiving functions. The primary goal is to improve operational efficiency, eliminate supply gaps, and enhance overall productivity across the organization. This role will provide visionary leadership, drive process improvements, and implement best practices that align with the company's growth objectives and operational needs. The Vice President will collaborate closely with other executive leaders to optimize supply chain performance and support the company's long-term success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the supply chain function, focusing on purchasing, planning, and shipping/receiving to close existing gaps and streamline operations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in refining procurement processes to ensure parts are bought on time, at competitive costs, and with robust supplier relationships.
- Oversee demand and supply planning, capacity management, and inventory optimization to ensure parts are available at the right time and in the right place, reducing delays and production downtime.
- Drive the integration of advanced planning systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics to enhance forecast accuracy and operational visibility.
- Establish and enforce key performance metrics (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency, delivery performance, and inventory management; leverage data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead supplier development initiatives, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations that support cost reductions and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality departments to align supply chain strategies with production schedules, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards across all supply chain activities.
- Manage a team of supply chain professionals across procurement, planning, logistics, and shipping/receiving, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Benchmark industry best practices and apply innovative solutions in logistics, procurement, and planning to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Prepare and manage budgets for supply chain operations, ensuring cost-effective delivery aligned with corporate financial goals.

Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, procurement, and operations.
- Proven track record of transforming supply chain functions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate operational gaps.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems, data analytics, and supply chain technology platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and change management skills.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, and quality standards within complex production environments.
