Safety Coordinator Farr West, UT Job Summary: Assist with the implementation of environmental health and safety programs and monitor for compliance. Perform activities to promote the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions directly with team leaders and employees. Develop measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health hazards. Ensure overall compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations, including overseeing appropriate monitoring of facility and processes Utah operations. Essential Functions: Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (Wis) related to job duties while supporting 6S (5S + Safety) and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Provide the company with the necessary information and education to keep the company operating in compliance with all applicable safety and environmental requirements. Maintain all internal safety and environmental programs for compliance. Provide expertise and oversight of safety and environmental issues. Authorities: Stop any process, act or program implementation that would put employees in direct danger or the company in a liability situation under safety or environmental regulations. Direct work that needs to be done to correct non-compliant issues. Issue verbal and written encouragements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requirements: Educational Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field including appropriate training in OSHA compliance and environmental regulations. Experience: Strong computer skills. Two or more years' experience in safety in an industrial setting or the equivalent of with related safety education and work experience. Experience in industrial maintenance, including understanding of manufacturing equipment, electrical systems and material handling equipment preferred. Physical Demands: The employee is required to:
