Overview The Sr. Domestic Operations Manager oversees operations within a designated region. This position will work closely with the Regional Director of Operations to develop and execute strategies that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a focus on continuous improvement across domestic operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, and budget performance. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operational Management:
* Collaborate with the Regional Director of Operations to set regional and local goals aligned with the overall business plan. * Develop and execute policies, procedures, and programs to meet organizational needs and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory laws, and guidelines. * Act in a support function for the fiscal performance of operations, focusing on profitability and growth goals. * Support review of regional P&L performance and establish short-term focus area to address shortfalls. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within key service areas to ensure operational excellence and service profit growth. Qualifications Education * High School Diploma (Required) * Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Experience * 7+ years logistics/operations management (Required) and * 3+ years in a senior leadership role. (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of freight forwarding operations and industry best practices. High * Proven experience managing P&L and performance management High * Expertise in operational systems, particularly Cargowise, and process improvement methodologies. Medium * Leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. High * Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. High * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on operational efficiency and service quality. High |
