Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and serves nearly 9,000 students each year. (Position Is a full-time Tenure track Position) Fall 2025

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in liberal arts discipline from an accredited college or university. Expertise in anthropology, African studies, economics, history, Indigenous studies, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, or related disciplines. Ability to teach courses in more than one discipline. Previous college teaching experience. Ability to teach daytime classes.

Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online, hybrid and in person on campus.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The full-time Instructor - HPSS reports to the Department Chairperson of Education and Social Sciences and performs the following duties:

* Provide Instruction in undergraduate courses in the Education and Social Sciences department.
* Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
* Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
* Participates in staff meetings and staff development activities.
* Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
* At the direction of the Department Chair, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

This is a 10-month, Full-Time position with a salary of $52,500. Position begins September 2, 2025.
