HX5 is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected Software Engineer will build MATLAB code-based models of Power Management and Distribution (PMAD) systems in a GRC developed object-oriented modeling tool as needed to support incoming project work. The Software Engineer will produce documentation describing models generated which will include test results and will also assist NASA in the presentation of test results.

Required Skills:

• Five+ years of experience with object-oriented programming is required.
• MATLAB experience required.
• Classroom or better experience with power systems analysis (load flow analysis).
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.
  

Other Desired Skills:

• Experience writing technical reports and presentations is preferred.
• Experience with SPICE circuit modeling is a plus.
• Experience working in a highly regulated development environment is a plus.
  

Education/Experience:

Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering degree (preferably from an ABET accredited program) with the following years of experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 to 10 years of experience

• Master's degree with 3 to 6 years of experience

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
