Position Description

The Campus Co-Director is part of a shared leadership model responsible for the overall operations, culture, and quality of care on campus. This role partners closely with the other Co-Director to ensure strong administrative, clinical, and educational leadership, with an emphasis on collaboration and accountability. Together, the Co-Directors lead a multidisciplinary team in maintaining a therapeutic, trauma-informed, and effective learning and residential environment.

The Co-Director must be an experienced, confident leader capable of setting high standards, developing staff, and fostering innovation. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in working with youth with moderate to severe needs, possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, and is committed to shared decision-making and continuous improvement.

How You'll Be Making a Difference



  • Partner with Co-Director to set the tone for a safe, supportive, and learning-focused culture across all areas of the campus.
  • Jointly lead and support program-wide efforts to uphold behavior support systems, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic environments.
  • Maintain 24/7 leadership of the campus, along with Co-Director. Support program on-call system in case of emergencies.
  • Model positive leadership and provide guidance to campus administrators and staff; ensure high expectations are clearly communicated and upheld.
  • Promote a collaborative leadership team culture that fosters communication, transparency, and unified goals across Clinical, Milieu, Educational, and Operational domains.
  • Share responsibility for supervision, coaching, and performance management of leadership team members.
  • Participate in and facilitate program-wide leadership meetings in partnership with the Co-Director.
  • Collaborate with the Co-Director to oversee all campus programming, ensuring integration of therapeutic, educational, and residential services through a trauma-informed lens
  • Ensure compliance with licensing bodies, funding agencies, and agency policies.
  • Develop and oversee systems for behavior support, including data collection and evaluation of effectiveness.
  • Support the creation and implementation of campus-wide policies and procedures in alignment with agency standards and values.
  • Assist with budget development and financial oversight; maintain accountability for campus expenditures.
  • Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders including funders, guardians; jointly coordinate intake, discharge, and service planning processes.
  • Serve as a liaison to important community partners such as the Walpole Police Department, the Walpole Town Manager
  • Partner with Co-Director to act as the campus' primary contact to the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Early Education and Care, the Department of Mental Health
  • Promote and support staff training and professional development initiatives.
  • Represent the program on agency committees and initiatives; advocate for program needs within agency priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, marketing, and advancement efforts as needed.
  • Ensure consistent and inclusive communication across departments and leadership levels.
  • Support family engagement and permanency planning efforts.
  • Flexibly support campus operations as needed, stepping into hands-on roles and even into ratio in case of emergency.


    Qualifications



    • Licensed administrator preferred; minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in residential, clinical or educational settings serving vulnerable youth.
    • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology tools; able to adapt to new systems.
