The opportunity

Do you have a passion for understanding how people think and behave? On the Design Research & Strategy team, our mission is to lay a user-centered and data-driven foundation for Adobe product design and development. We are seeking an Experience Researcher to guide product teams through a variety of research methods.

What you'll do
  • Use a variety of methods to uncover key user insights throughout the product development cycle under the mentorship of a research lead

  • You will work closely with cross-functional product teams to better understand their goals and questions

  • Partner with other research team members to run studies from start to finish, including: developing a study plan, recruiting participants, and synthesizing data into findings

  • Surface practical insights and communicate those findings to relevant product teams

  • You will learn about different roles across the product team and business goals and collaborate with researchers to integrate insights into the product cycle

What you'll bring to the team

Must-haves:

  • Clear understanding and experience with a variety of research methods

  • Able to understand the needs of the product teams and translate them into a research plan

  • Able to run studies using a variety of methods (ethnographic explorations, 1-on-1 interviews, usability studies) independently with guidance from a mentor

  • Able to produce research reports, recommendations with mentorship and have comfort in giving presentations to stakeholders

  • Highly collaborative with other researchers and cross-functional partners (Design, Product Management, Engineering)

  • Have a drive for growth and learning with a keen curiosity about people and how they think

  • An undergraduate degree

Nice-to-haves:

  • A history of collaboration with design and product development

  • An advanced degree in psychology, anthropology, data science, or a related field

  • Familiarity with Adobe's creative (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), document (Acrobat, PDF), and/or Experience (Analytics, AEM, etc,) tools

Adobe Design creates tools that amplify the world's ability to create and communicate. We're a global team of designers, researchers, prototypers, content strategists, program managers, and more who work across Adobe's three product lines: Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $77,500 -- $154,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
