Position Summary: Under the direction of Distribution Center Management, coordinates various buying programs; resolves invoice problems; performs buying functions, and fills in for the supervisor when absent. Also responsible for being the focal point for all inquiries to the Distribution Center to distribute information and documents. Contact member institutions, Corporate Purchasing, and vendors to gather information, place orders, and resolve problems. Coordinates the proper flow of supplies from vendors and develops alternative vendor sources for out-of-stock items. Accountable for establishing and updating departmental files, catalogs, and associated records, and for performing other related functions. Knowledge: Must have a high working knowledge of computers/word processing. Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a G.E.D. Certification. Work Experience: Five years of experience in a related field is preferred. Shift: Day Shift, Full Time (40 hours) Weekend work required 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Non-Exempt, NE Work Location: 5300 Holabird Ave, 21224 Skills: Must have good analytical and interpersonal skills. Required Licensure, Certification: None Machines, Tools, Equipment: Material handling equipment, computers, fax machine, and calculator. Working Condition The warehouse environment is exposed to varying temperatures and dirt. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects. Must be willing to work all shifts. Must be able to work under stressful conditions, requiring accuracy and consistency. Salary Range: Minimum $17.11/hour - Maximum $28.26/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
