We are looking for a highly skilled developer. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Full stack Java development, Spring framework, SQL, and AWS cloud technologies. This role encompasses leadership responsibilities, including different planning strategies. By ensuring robust and efficient system operations, the candidate will play a key role in advancing our company's mission.

Location: Berkeley heights, NJ (Onsite)

• Design and develop robust software applications using Advanced Java and Spring technologies to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Implement and maintain scalable AWS cloud solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Optimize database queries and manage SQL databases to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
• Utilize Spring MVC and Spring Boot frameworks to build and deploy microservices architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and improving user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Mentor junior engineers fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables ensuring timely and successful project completion.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate software functionality and performance.
• Document software designs technical specifications and user guides for future reference and training.
• Contribute to the Cards & Payments domain by developing solutions that enhance transaction processing and security.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related, and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Possess a strong background in AWS with the ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
• Demonstrate expertise in Database and SQL with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring data accuracy.
• Have extensive experience with Spring MVC Spring Framework Spring Core and Spring Boot for building enterprise applications.
• Exhibit proficiency in Advanced Java with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience in the Cards & Payments domain is a plus providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The annual salary for this position will depend on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
