JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Program Director MAYOR'S OFFICE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES Bureau/Unit of Training and Development Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $86,520 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59pm CDT on 7/13/2025 The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities MOPD is excited to hire a Program Director, responsible for the oversight of MOPD's Training Unit. In this role, an individual would oversee the department's programs and program staff pertaining to increasing awareness, communication, and accessibility of people with disability through various training programs, services, social media, and external communications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Manages the strategic planning, policy development, and implementation of major departmental disability service programs and disability training efforts. * Oversees the development, duplication, and marketing of the department's social media, external newsletter, materials used to promote disability service programs and disability training efforts. * Monitors the performance and ongoing development and training of Program staff and conducts performance evaluations. * Develops the Disability Training Program's work objectives, quality standards and performance measures, working with program supervisors to monitor productivity and adhere to established standards. * Directs the development and management of program contracts, budgets, grants and administrative functions. * Serves as a liaison between other City departments, outside agencies and the public around programs and training on people with disabilities and accessibility. * Represents the department in meetings and special task force initiatives to address various disability and accessibility related topics. * Manages and directs special projects and initiatives. * Responds to public inquiries and comments regarding program concerns and complaints to improve training outcomes. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
